2013 Updated Paediatric ART Formulary list

The optimal formulary lists the 10 essential products required to provide WHO preferred and recommended 1st and 2nd line regimens for pediatric weight bands <35kg. Additionally, a list of 13 limited-use products is included to provide guidance for procurement of drugs needed in special clinical circumstances including the phase out of d4T, management of 3rd line patients, and other special circumstances. These lists are designed to serve as a model for programs seeking to simplify procurement of Pediatric ARV drugs while ensuring a stable global supply of medicines for children living with HIV.
