  • Advantages This tool was designed for the facility health worker, therefore it emphasizes distribution, dispensing and use of TB medicines. Complex issues like programming and procurement of medicines are included in other MSH/RPM Plus publication (Managing Pharmaceutical Commodities for Tuberculosis: A Guide for National Tuberculosis Programs).
  • Limitations Distribution and dispensing practices may vary from country to country depending on the integration of TB Program to national supply system, the decentralization of health facilities, and the official standard operation procedures in health facilities. This tool provides only guidelines, and should be adapted to each particular situation.
